Tuesday morning (5/17/16) I asked my son what I should blog about?
“Mahhhansters” he said in a growling hushed tone.” He finished with, “And scary things.”
Then, I got in my car and on the way to work I listened to astrologer, Ann Ortelee’s, podcast where she gave dark, scary and almost monstrous warnings for the Full Moon ahead.
When I got to my Cubical and pull up my e-mail I saw a newsletter from Austin Coppock so I click it and once again read more dismal reporting on the intense Sagittarius Full Moon!
I couldn’t avoid writing my PSA about this weekend’s Full Moon happening May 21, 2016 at 2:14pm PDT. Here I deliver 5 tips to surviving this weekend’s lunar energy via 3 articles and a podcast.
Life is about our actions but every action that we take is predicated on what we choose. We should measure our life by our choices and in turn our tarot spreads should reflect this.
I created the Choose Your Own Adventure Tarot Spread with this very issue in mind. This has been my essential daily spread over the last month. It has helped me weave the complication of my days into a more coherent story while dealing with the myriad of obstacles that a father living in Hollywood and working in the entrainment industry has to deal with.
Like I said in last month’s article we’ve been blasted by a fiery spring so far. It’s like we’ve all been living with wasp nests in our yards and then some misguided teenagers came around thinking it will be fun to see if they could hit the nests with rocks. Culturally we saw this unfold as Bernie Sanders went arrgo on Hillary Clinton. The most poignant example I found of this was April 21, 2016 (just before Earth Day) a vegan racecar driver tweeted the fact that the owners of vegan restaurants Café Gratitude and Gracias Madre slaughter animals on their farm and now eat meat. Then My Vegan Journal posted a story about this fact the very same day sending the non-animal killing folks in a violent rage threatening the lives of the restaurant owners. The wasp nest was placed February 23, 2015 more than a year ago when the vegan restaurant owners freely posted details on their blog about the changes on their farm. Latent energies are bound to boil up when, like last month, both the New Moon in Aries and (a midpoint later) the Full Moon in Scorpio are both ruled by an agitated Mars being harmed by Saturn’s presence.
This is the cultural context ushering us into the New Moon in Taurus Friday, May 6, 2016 at 1:29pm MDT
…BUT we are in for a kinder and more practical shift.
In this article I cover how Venus is offering us a calmer approach to the month, how to work with the Mars and Saturn in Sagittarius energy and how best to realign your actions after the brashness of the Mercury and Mars retrogrades.
